Just 2.5 hours from Amarillo, TX, our Maine Coon cattery, a preservation heritage program, is located on the Black Kettle National Grassland. Our babies, originally from Pittsburgh PA & Homer, LA, bring the magick and soul of the southland to the Big Sky country! We have proud pet parents in Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma, and Pennsylvania!
Health
Our lines are heritage Sun O'er Sea lines. These are from 2018-2020 foundation stock of Sun O'er Sea cattery. Bayou Magick is a sister cattery of Beth Csomay's Sun O'er Sea. We are the hybrid European-American branch of Sun O'er Sea!
Structure
We show exclusively CFA under Sun O'er Sea (this will be our first year with carrying our Bayou Magick name on show/breed kittens!) We follow CFA breed standard and have healthy, heritage lines known for size, balance, and strong genetics!
Temperament
Our kittens since 2019 have become mascots at preschools, Emotional Support Animals for anxiety & autism [and more], family kittens, adventure cats, show kittens, and high quality breeding cats.

Pip is as sassy as they come. She was born in 2020 and has had a few litters of Sun O'er Sea kittens. She is often paired with Duke and Red but has had several years off in between. She loves to play and cuddle. And she answer to "Pip Pip Hooray!" She is an exceptional mother, but usually has one to three kittens a year.

Hear me roar! Sun O'er Sea's A Rogue Duke is standing at stud at Bayou Magick. Duke is the son of Sun O'er Sea's Zaros and the great grandson of the only cat to ever win the feline equivalent of the Triple Crown in CFA. I am so very proud of his lines and even prouder of his kittens over the years!

Nota Bene: Health in High Performance Lines
We avoid DBE because we do not believe in propogating Waardenburg syndrome; we do not allow outcrosses to caracals or other wild cats. We do not allow colors that are not natural in our breed (phoenix, chocolate, fawn, etc.) and we are careful not to incorporate lines that have a genetic bottleneck (COI >17% - ask us!), which will hopefully save our pet parents heartache in the future.
We do the best we can and work hard to ensure that those who invest in our program are protected in return. Our pedigrees go back 10 generations and we carefully calculate and thoughtfully pair matches to ensure optimal health.
We specialize in companions. Gamer cats, adventure cats, kayaking, swimming, hiking, leash training, ESA; some of our kittens have even become preschool mascots. At this stage, we are proud to have years of happy, healthy babies from lines we are continuing today.
